About this role

As a (sr./Lead) mechanical Engineer you are part of the Engineering department working for leading clients in the medical, machine building and semiconductor industries, based on customer specifications. The projects are carried out by multidisciplinary (software, mechanics and electronics) teams that work closely with development partners and suppliers.

In this role as senior or Lead Mechanical Engineer your tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • You translate the user requirement specifications into a concept design and functional specifications;
  • You review requirements and possible solutions with customers and make decisions on the design phase;
  • You adjust existing designs in accordance with customer requirements and makes an estimate of the expected lead-time and cost;
  • You test and validate the design for functionality in accordance with the specifications and take care of the test setups and protocols;
  • You prepare presentations, project plans, manuals, procedures and work instructions;

Depending on your leadership skills you can also get the opportunity to guide and accelerate a team.

To be able to carry out this role your profile should match:

  • Technical education at master or bachelor level (mechanical engineering);
  • Preferably 7 years’ experience in product development related to precision mechanics, value engineering, vacuum, medical equipment and/or mechatronics;
  • Skilled in designing complex mechanical modules from (pre-) concept phase, up to system verification;
  • Strong affinity with development, production processes and product standards;
  • You are a conceptual, lateral, analytical and creative thinker;
  • Excellent command of the English language in speaking and writing;
