As a Materials & Processes Engineer the aim is to support the development and manufacturing process of DAF by contributing knowledge and conducting research in the field of materials, processes and means of production used or to be used at DAF and suppliers. You are responsible for maintaining and communicating knowledge about materials, tools, manufacturing techniques in the field of metals, rubbers, plastics and coatings within the entire DAF organization. You also maintain contacts with external knowledge institutes and companies and actively expand this network. You identify opportunities for DAF in the field of technology and then initiate and coordinate technology projects. You are responsible for the technical content of material and process standards within and outside DAF in the field of the different materials.

Requirements

For this position, we would like to get in touch with candidates who have an education at HBO + / academic level with specialization in plastics. You also have at least a number of years of experience with rubbers and thermosetting or thermoplastic plastics, both in terms of materials and processing is recommended. You are independent but also a team player with a sense of initiative. You can work project-based and analytically. Good communication skills in speech and writing in German and English are necessary.
