Lead Electrical Engineer

Are you an experienced electrical engineer with profound knowledge of industrial electrical power generation and distribution? Do you want to act as a global lead in international construction projects with a consulting mindset to internal customers? Then we are looking for you!

In the role of specialist electrical engineering, you will be based in the Netherlands, however, since most of your projects are overseas, traveling is part of the job.

We are looking for a specialist and a team player, who either holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and has five to ten years experience in electrical in the process industry, preferably food & beverage. You must have a customer-oriented working attitude, show initiative and have a flexible approach. The candidate is analytical and an excellent communicator (both verbal and non-verbal), has a critical attitude, excels in applied learning and has a result driven mentality.

About this role

As a specialist electrical engineering, you:

  • Prepare project plans, inquiry specifications and purchasing specifications. You guide, monitor and check suppliers. You monitor schedules and budgets all in accordance to our internal procedures
  • Discuss scope and challenge investments with brewery management and project managers
  • Responsible for successful acceptance tests and commissioning and ultimately ensure successful handing over of power generation and distribution plants to the breweries
  • Operate in multi-disciplinary teams, from suppliers to end users
  • Contribute to internal projects in the fields of standardization, innovation, gate-keeping and quality assurance
  • Support and advise breweries in cooperation with your network of suppliers
  • Execute site surveys and prepare capacity- and investment plans for breweries
  • Monitor, guide and support a variety of external consultants who execute tasks for you

About you

Your knowledge in the field of electrical engineering consists of at least one or more of the following aspects:

  • Power generation and distribution (MV/LV)
  • Diesel generator sets
  • Power quality solutions
  • Renewable energy generation (wind, solar, etc.)
  • Operation systems controlled by PLC and bussystems
  • Operational aspects of electrical installations (e.g. maintenance)
  • Electrical legislation, norms and regulations.
